How to verify security course is "state certified"?

Is there any way to verify whether they're "state certified"? I'm not extending any trust based on the website, but I figure if they're a startup they might have an excuse.

I would contact a state government office or agency. If you don't know which one (like me), just call up one you'd think would be relevant and ask where to be directed to in order to find out. I think that stuff is public record.
