for those who haven't noticed yet, Steam is offering L4D half off this weekend only. Kind of odd, since two days ago I said to myself I'd purchase it, if it were around 20 dollars. Now that I have it, personally I'd say it's worth 50.

I almost did the same, but I refuse to pay more than 30 dollars for a game. Maybe you can return the Amazon copy? (if not installed yet). You have about 8 minutes left until it goes back to 50 Ameros

So for example (and a horrible one at that) the new Bond game should be free, since it's basically a mod of CoD4... fuck that means CoD:WaW would also be free!

If it's a simple mod, sure, it should be free. If it completely changes the gameplay from the game it is a mod of (which costs a lot of money to develop in some cases) then yes, it should come at a fee.

That's why it's worth looking out for STEAM's bargain weekend sales.

Personally on L4D it does not deserve that 88/100 rating. If I had known that it would be like it is I wouldn't of bought it at full price, which is kind of good considering I didn't.
