I love films that don't fit into neat categories, like Fight Cklub and Repo Man. I am happy to bring to your attention an hinest to gawd kung fu va,pire movie. It was co-produced by Hammer Studios (one of the best for horror) and Run Run Shaw --one of the best for Hong Kong kung fu flicks.
Title is The Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires, stars Peter Cushing as van Helsing and co-stars a bunch of really good Chinese kung fu stunt people. Came out in 1974, when Bruce Lee was hot. (Actually, he had cooled off a bit by then, having died July 20, 1973.)
This was the original British version--an eviscerated version (75 minutes, vs 89) called The Seven Brothers Meet Dracula was made for US release.
