The only reason to not like police is if you are a drug user, which I am, but don't expect to be when/if I have kids. If you don't use drugs and have a normal job police are usually very reasonable, at least in most first world countries.

And in that case, if protective service come, who cares? No big deal. Thats their job. Their salaries are paid by the tax base so they can go around and make sure shit like that isn't happening. If I had kids I wouldn't give a shit if child services came, I would invite them in and prove that its a stable environment.

Anybody "could be" doing anything at any time, it doesn't mean they are. For all you know she needs the money for groceries.
