As such, various laws have come out of the U.S. government claiming that it has the right to make laws, such as cyberstalking laws, and be able to persecute people.

Should this really be the case and allowed?

Websites, such as Facebook, are owned by individuals rather than the U.S. Government. Companies, such as AT&T, Comcast, and other Internet Service Providers own the Internet services they provide rather than the government owning those companies.

Back in the day, if you had a problem with someone, you reported them to their ISP. You shut down that person's Internet service.

However, these days, people don't do that, because the government enables the republic to make claims of cyberstalking, stalking, and harassment that have occurred over the Internet. Is it really the duty of the government to manage these claims or is it the companies who provide the services that should be responsible?

I'm an old-schooler. I believe that if you have a problem with someone on the Internet, you report them to the website. If that doesn't work, you report them to their ISP. That way, the person cannot contact you anymore.

These days, too many people are quick to bring up a legal case against another individual without going through the websites and ISPs. I do not think that is justified in any way.
