Good to see you're back, Proots. I had feared the worst after launching an investigation into your disappearance and finding very little, but enough to make a reasonable man believe things went south for you. Mark and I pounded beers in the name of Proots.

Happy are they who come to feast on Proots' supper!

    Where art thou, O'Proots?

For when I needed The Proots the most, when I called out to The Proots, when I was weeping and gnashing my teeth, crying out for The Proots, The Proots turned a blind eye and a deaf ear...

...Where were you when I needed you? Where were you when I begged for you? Where were you in my grim hour of need?

Back in the US and at home, my friend. I was unable to bring back a bottle of rum do to space constraints and customs having clusterfucked my luggage, but should you be in the neighborhood sometime, I'd gladly share from my private reserves with you.

man that is just way way way too cool. and man i should, maybe it does make a person smarter. (and for some reason reading the comics from the paper has a different feel, you know what i'm sayin'?)

what no way! thanks for updating me on that. i actually need to catch up with this year's strips (i don't get the paper anymore, so i go online and read them all at once. i tried one day at a time, but man, i get to itchy waiting for the next one haha.)

i really think pastis changed the rules of comic strip writing, placing in characters from other strips, and hell, even putting himself in it a lot. and now all these other writers do the same, man pastis is such a badass.

There was a very interesting book that came out recently and gives hope for new conversation and inquiry: http://www.amazon.com/Troublesome-In.../dp/1594204462

As you'll note, the progressive brigade came in to try to prevent anyone from daring to disagree with them, but fortunately the best reviews made it to the top.
