I was basically building a fictional universe that would go from near-future cyberpunk and political stuff based off the oil peak fucking things up and a world communist/anarchist revolution + balkanization and secession of states going onward to something akin to Gundam and Macross on the actions of the World Government formed and will try to tie that in with the other verse I built that is 'the internet in space'.

I also want to see fun charcters like redneck chemistry professors in mississippi (they got into chem from moonshine and gunpower manufacture) and ghetto gansgsta niggas who learned to hack from bootlegging then crcking drm then onwards. Stuff like that

You probably wouldn't know of it, but it's called Outernet. We were up around spring-time of last year but were down all summer due to technical difficulties. Now we're planning a comeback, slowly but... not so steadily.

Tl;dr the Republic exhausted them by their reinforcements and forced them by their ships and shields to keep them from escaping. Oh, and Palpatine as Sidious didn't let them escape when it would be logical to do so.


Personally, I'd have that flagship of a similar scale and size of the Mandator and Mandator-II star dreadnoughts Kuat built around that area for a nice battle But failing that in the movies (they did do Malevolence though in the CW- others pointed that out for us).
