If someone were to write a check out to me, and I were to blank it and write in a much higher amount, wouldn't the sender of the check realize this as soon as they looked at their statement? How would I get a check straight to cash without using my bank account or any sort of I.D.?

You'd cash it into an account set up with someone else's stolen details. Were you thinking of that real hustle style scam where they give the person a pen that's erasable when they write the cheque, or just washing it?

It'd be better to wash it because my experiences with those pens left a few marks and that wasn't good, I had to end up washing it anyway.

Well I couldn't be fucked to bother stealing an identity just to cash a washed check or two, I might as well save a lot of time and just go out robbing.

Can't checks just be written out to "cash" and changed over at the liquor store? Or am I confusing this with money orders? Sometimes I despise being born in the age of the debit card, nobody ever filled me in on how checking really works.

It's rare you'll find someone to take cheques, gold dealers will funnily enough usually. Some antiques shops will too if you can convince whoever is working there that you're on first name terms with the owner (search up the address and company online for the owner name) then have a cheque written out for more than the goods you're buying are worth and have them give you the difference back in cash, then sell the antique you just bought as well.

The way to do it is not to get it written in your name. Find the name of someone you want to buy something from (I'd choose gold coins and a gold dealer), get the person to write the cheque out to that person. Effective laundering.

How the fuck do you guys align?
I'm using a nice Canon MP190 (all in one) and I can't align the bills wortha shit.
The print quality is on par with a $40 printer (black is greyish when on High quality) with normal paper (can't wait for the mail).
I'm not worried about anything above $20... (can't find a good crisp old one)
Is there any good site with scans of $5, $10, possibly $20's? I would get funny looks if I was handing over a fifty because I'm thirteen..

I am using GIMP with the printer offset settings (borders suck ass)
Adobe photoshop doesnt print currency, but all Gimp versions will

they say the british pound is the hardest mother fucker to fake, but i beg to differ, i mean my fukin hpdeskjet d4260 which cost like £20 made a pretty convincible note(to my gran), i cant imagine what a £200 printer would print like... can anyone recommend a printer in the range of £100-£200 that will print nice british bills+no hassles+simples??? i have the metallic strip covered...i just use metallic heat transfer foils which do the trick quite nicely, not fukd about watermark casue no one checks, and i have paper sourced....

Please go into more detail (pics if possible). I've never had counterfeiting down as my speciality nor highest interests, but now you have my interest since there's some other brits on here who have done it. Get an alps 5000, seriously, they're fucking brilliant printers.

US currency was easy as hell if you can get old templates. I can take care of the watermarking easily. Actually the topic of bleaching has been beat to death on the Bombshock Counterfeiting forum.
The solution stated above was said by MANY to not work at all.

Many Senior members on Bombshock (I still need to try it) have said that lye will remove the ink, and they have posted pictures of before and after with the watermark of a $5 but a face and back of a $20.

Here's how to remove ink from ALL bills in the US.
It involves lye (potassium/sodium hydroxide, a highly corrosive material that can and will give you serious chemical burns.

3 Tablespoons of lye
2 quarts of water
A tooth brush

Let the bill soak in the water and lye for 30minutes or so. After it's soaked, move it to a hot water bath and gently wipe it with the tip of the brush. It's comes off perfectly. There's a small amount of left-over ink, but printing the new face will cover that up. Use $5's.

Make sure the bill goes in all at once and straight. If it enters the solution uneven, part of the bill will be deformed.

As for printing, you can either scan a bill into photoshop and use that to print onto the bill or just directly copy it onto the new bill.

And I've attributed the aligning problem with my printer to be GIMP. I dl'ed Photoshop CS4 Extended and did all my dirty work with that. Btw, Photoshop is fucking awemazing (never used it before, always thought it was hyped). For anyone flipping out that their scans of the money wont load in Ps: Scan it straight in Ps. It only works on the bills without a EURion constellation tho.

Also when printing on blanked bills, I would simply print out the bill on normal paper, then use double sided sticky tape to align the blank onto the bill printed on the normal paper. Print and repeat for other side.

When I finally get around to getting some lye I will be printing twenties over ones and fives (only using blanked ones with people who aren't cashiers/tellers, they would check the security things.)

Most charity related places, like dog adoptions/cat adoptions, human related events may have sales, rummage sales, junk like that. Show up and purchase garbage with your large bills (IE $20 of stuff but all you have is a "50" etc and then get the actual currency. Won't matter in the slightest since you are technically "losing" $20 and gaining $30, but it's $30 in real currency.

Seems like a good idea to me, launder the fake currency at these places (especially if outdoors, less likely to have the blacklights and stuff) and off you go!

the common device i've seen is made by the company called "fake finder/fake finder products" i'm sure you can find it in google

I picked up a bottle of Drano Max Gel.
MSDS says that pH is 11-13.
Purple Power (MSDS)(confirmed to work) Degreaser is only pH10-11. So I'm trying out Drano on a dollar.

Didn't work. Didn't do jack shit (msds for drano gel says 5% lye) on a $1 bill. Not risking a $5 bill, that's what the drano cost (lol).
Real mixture from the bombshock forum is around 2.4% lye and 97.6% water.
I guess the drano's bleach (sodium hypoclorite) counteracted the lye, dunno what else would have stopped it.

I'll check in tomorrow at Ace and see if they have it (stocking at my ace is horrible, possibly they'll put it on the shelf.) I know my Ace sells it, there was a spot for it on the shelf.

Rooto 100% Crystals of Lye Household Drain opener.
It's the replacement of the Red Devil brand used for soapmaking (also labeled as a drain opener, but was always used for soap until the discontinuing in 2006.)
For anyone that has a soapmaking shop by them, you could get this cheaper or in smaller amounts. You only need about 1/6 pound or 2 ounces to make 1 bath to wash bills in.

Math: 6 baths out of 1 pound. $5 for that pound. Around 84 cents a bath.
Let's say you only use $5 bills and print $20 bills to be less suspicious. I am personally going wash 5 bills at a time. That's $74.16 profit (5 $5bills with $20 printed, is $100 in the end but you used $25 from the original bills.)
To go even more on the cheap, wash more fives at a time. I don't have a lot to start with (at the moment I have $10 to my name.) but once you get going it's easy to multiply.
