Useful tips for beginner grower's

Any and all useful tips in growing for the first time would be awesome. I would like to know how much watering should be done? I would also like to know if I can use fertilizer's such as "miracle grow" or not. Like I said I would like to keep this pretty open and broad.

You're going to have to do some basic research on growing first. I too didn't have much experience with houseplants of any kind before I started up. Just read and read and read...google is definitely your friend. There's a sticky with links in it too.

Dont use miracle grow unless you want nutrient lockout.

False. I've used miracle grow fertilizers for vegging and they worked great, never showed any signs of lockup.

Nah man its true, trialed last year on two plants, both were potted and 1 was getting watered down half dose of the miracle grow blue crystal shit the other was getting half the amount plus seasol liquid. both were going awsome two months in especially the one on the decent dose of miracle grow it was pumped and was looking very promising, then looked one day and stated to turn sick. PH tested the soil loled, gave it a few days of trying to restore the conditions but nah wasnt happening so pulled it out washed the roots and replanted into a different spot that had different light conditions which that plus the shock from the lockout turned it hermaphrodite
So stopped using the miracle grow on the other one and increased use of seasol and sprayed it with foliage feeder and got a nice 11-12oz from it a couple months later.

Theres different miracle grow products to the one I used but still I wont be using the crap again, it does work alrite though, if used in small stints on a plant in the ground it should be ok but fuck using it on a potted plant continually as it builds up.

I found the best one to be the singles packets. You just drop one in a gallon of water. It made measuring very easy and they turned out fine.

I am not using Miracle Grow during the flower phase though. The singles packs have worked great for the vegetative stage.
