Coheed show!

So tommorow I'm going to see Coheed and Cambria open for Sklipnot ( ). Don't really care about sklipnot and am kinda pissed they don't have there own show, but whatever. Anyone been to one of their shows? Either skipnot or coheed

That's an odd combination for a show (I'd never watch Slipknot, nothing against them, just don't like them). See, the thing with Coheed and me is... they're really really good, but... sorry his god damn voice annoys/disgusts me. The instrumentals are amazing, and so are the lyrics, but damn.

I understand what he's trying to do, but maybe he should try to pay more attention to the Mars Volta.

btw Volume IV Part 1 is my favorite album from C&C

hating Slipknot is so 18. now they're nothing on Slayer, of course. but you've got to admit they're one of the more genuine groups out there. I've considered checking out this tour when they drop by here.

I've never really been into Coheed (I don't mind falsetto, but dude's voice is just way too offbeat and rather annoying). but I do hear decent things about their musical side. I don't know...they're coming to Bonnaroo, though. this'll be my third year going. depending on the scheduling, I might check them out.

I've seen Coheed live - and met them afterwards (small show). They were really good - very tight. My favourite album is Second Stage Turbine Blade (Delirium Trigger is one of my favourite ever songs ). I know lots of people who can't stand them because of his voice but I don't even notice it now - just seems that it fits the music to me.

Same here. I used to hate them. But then I just started listening and really dug the instrumentals and the voice just seemed to fit.

I don't like Slipknots studio stuff, but I honestly believe that they'd put on an interesting show that would probably be worth checking out.

The show as alright, but honestly I've seen Tool on acid at Bonnaroo. Enough said.

Nah, but the music was great, but Coheed didn't really put on a great show. Skipnot was the main attraction and honestly, I'm not a big fan of them. Theatrical, but it was corny, you know? Plus, I can't really dig the music. Way too death metal for me. I had bleacher seats, and the mosh pit looked like fun and I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more if I was there, but eh...
