New Forum, Same Rules

Artist - Album - Release Date (if known)

Are you really going to make a new forum every year?

Yes, I am going to make a new one every year because at some point, the albums discussed in the forum will no longer be "new albums." The idea of the forum is to discuss new and up-coming music, not music that was "new not too long ago."

But you don't need to make a new forum every year- that will just clutter up the forum list massively. And the albums that were new, but aren't any more will just sink to the bottom of the forum naturally.

I'll archive and remove the previous year after this year is finished. Some people want to discuss 2009 albums still, but I don't think they'll want to discuss 2008 albums, specifically.

The idea of the forum is not to just have the new popular albums around for discussion (as the ones that aren't as popular will basically disappear if you just let them sink to the bottom of the forum naturally), but to have a place where all new music can be discussed. Chances are, there won't be more than 100 threads in the subforum (unless it gets more popular), which means that any album can be easily accessed even if it's not a popular one.
