Images of Men From Haiti Burned Trying To Steal Downed Power Lines

I'm trying to find some pictures that a professor at college showed us of some guys from Haiti who were trying to steal downed power lines for scrap metal amidst the chaos. The lines were still live, and the guys are pretty much burnt to a crisp and literally melted to the ground.

I've googled around for them, and tried sites like documentingreality and rotten with no luck. Does anyone know where I might be able to find them?

I can't find anything Are you sure it was Haiti, I find that after each disaster/event old pictures get rebranded and put back online as being from the latest area thats in the news at the minute.

I looked there too... I'm starting to wonder if maybe someone he knows was over there and took the pictures and sent them to him.

Won't load for me. I'm pretty sure they were Haiti, but you're right, they could be elsewhere... There are just so many pictures of people getting fried by electricity out there, but none as crazy as the ones he showed.

Sorry, I reupped the image it should load now, its only a joke though. I can't find anything and I've been looking for about half an hour. I've googled "power line" and electrocuted mainly, nothing on news or blogs either as far as I can find. I'm amazed.

When I was originally looking for the pictures, my Prof had originally shown them to us, and he got them in an email claiming they were from Haiti, so thats all the info I had to work on... I guess we now know that was a crock of shit.

Those are some pretty hefty power lines... They are most definitely cooked. Sad thing is, they were probably out trying to profit stealing copper, and those lines are made of steel and aluminum which is worth a whole lot less... Silly twits.

If there is enough voltage it can jump right off the wire.

There's more than one reason the lines are on such tall poles... That electricity wants so badly to get to ground, and it has to be stopped from doing so.
