A Silver Mt. Zion's latest. Just wondering if anyone else has had the chance to pick this up.
I was lucky enough to catch them on their last tour, where they played the first three tracks. They sound just as great on the album, though it seems they cut out a part or two. The rest of the album is amazing, too.
It's good to see that they're continuing to evolve their sound. This album isn't my favorite (I'm not sure that they'll ever top
This is Our Punk Rock and
Born into Trouble in my eyes), but a lot of bands seem to give up once they've made something great, and begin releasing the same album over and over. I'd hate to see SMZ fall into that sort of rut.
They're going
on tour again, by the way. If you like this album, or any of their others, I
strongly recommend catching one of their shows. You won't be disappointed. I'll be going to either Asheville, Atlanta, or Nashville to see them, so if you're going to be at one of those shows, let me know! I'll keep an eye out for you.
