Good point. If there's a single bullet in the clip and it's chambered, it's going to be the next thing coming out of the gun. Just the fact that he chambered it before handing the gun over, but didn't chamber it for when he put it to his own head, proves beyond a doubt that he was fully aware there was a round in there.
