Default Best audio player for linux?

Amarok, the audio player that openSUSE came pre-installed with, sucks balls and I'm fed up with it.

What should I use instead?

Try VLC or Audacious (an XMMS fork), they're pretty good.

I'd also suggest XMMS itself, but it's no longer maintained, and XMMS2 just sucks balls.

Edit: Links, so you don't have to JFGI.

Just installed audatious. I like it, simple, but I'm not sure it's what I'm looking for.

I need it to organize my music folder. Amaroke attempted to organize my music by moving artists>albumbs>songs into alphabetical folders, but it only got about half of them. It's all totally fucked up and I really hope I don't have to do it by hand.

Does anyone use Banshee?

I ended up just organizing my music by hand. Took about 5 hours...

Thumbs Up Re: Best audio player for linux?

cmus is a console based music player.

It's fairly simple, but I really like it.

I haven't found anything I like as much as foobar2000, though.
