windows 7 32 bit on dell latitude d620

I recently installed windows 7 on this dell latitude d620. I was running xp on it before but formatted and did a full restore. everyone went smooth until i went to play s.t.a.l.k.e.r just how i did on xp. well it now says my video card isnt compatible. I know i have a nvidia quadro nvs 110m which isnt the best but it will run the game. Ive been playing it forever on xp. So I pull up my dxdiag and see that my video card isnt a nvidia anymore. its a standard VGA graphics adapter? WTF? so I go try to get drivers from dell/microsoft/fucking everywhere. and there is one that I find thats used for windows vista/windows 7 so i get that download it and run the install and it pops up saying there is no compatible hardware. ive been trying to figure this out for hours now and nothing im going to put my foot through my screen. please help?

can i put a foot through your screen and then through your head. i hate dells and i hate people who use dells, almost as much as i hate people who use macs. build your own machine pussy.

i would say that maybe the video card died?
windows 7 usually does all the hardware updates if you allow it to. there is an option some where that you check and it will detect and download most of your shit. though with my laptop (hp) the move to windows 7 got most of my hardware but i still had to go to the manufacturer website and manually download some drivers. so try going to dell, pick out your model and scroll through available drivers?

thats all i can think off the top of my head. (ps get a console for gaming, no use trying to make an old computer try to run games it can barely handle and the constant updating of parts to keep up with the gaming scene is very expensive and pointless)

o did i mention dells are shit? (in the process of repairing a buddy's laptop...the hard drive died out...a couple months right after the warranty expired...hmm imagine that..)
