Not sure what he means with "bigger than the universe!", but damn sexy fractal.

The render took five months, using a cluster of up to 20 dual-core PCs on a LAN, all running the Fractice rendering server. The actual number of servers varied over the five-month period but averaged around 15. Rendering only occurred at night.

I wasn't really taken back by it. I never got into advanced level math like some of my peers. I assume you have to love the fuck out of the math behind something like this to really get into it.
