i too ended up not sleeping last night, i took a nice swig of gin and smoked 2 bowls of weed to knock me out.....laid there until 5 am when my housemate start making his breakfast, so i said fuck it and got up. now i'm not even that tired, gonna go get a pizza, smoke some weed, drink some gin and watch mean streets, that shit just finished downloading, took a peek, looks good.

I was thinking about this the other day, or something similar. If we ever colonised another planet, the whole society would be entirely different because of little things like this- if our bodies can even biologically adapt to an acceptable degree anyway.

P.S. Melatonin seems to help me fall asleep quicker and sleep better whether placebo or not.

Default cants gets no sleep

i been laying in bed for over 4 hours and cant sleep i reach the point where i get pist off so i get up and do something like come online.

weed helps me sleep its about the only thing that does but its just a big waiting game until i can get some next "maybe a month"

i dont know what to do until then. tomorrow i got 20 miles to walk and doing that when you not got much sleep makes you feel like shit

If you're having trouble sleeping, try meditation/relaxation techniques. This is what works for me anyway:

Focus on breathing deeply.
After a few breaths count backwards from 100 with each out breath.
On the first count (100) relax yourself as deeply as you can.
On the second count (99) relax yourself even further.
Etc.
By 95 or 94 there shouldn't be any more numbers.

Occasionally this doesn't work, but it's usually because I'm thinking about something still, or I'm not relaxed enough. I find it focuses my mind enough for me to let go.
