Someone wanted me to make this into a thread (Involving administration drama)

This was a post I made in another thread, and someone suggested I make it the OP in it's own thread. I feel that it's a reasonable request. I would like everyone to know that I'm not a "yes man" or a member of the mod team or administration in any way, nor am I close friends with any of them. I will never be a moderator and don't intend to try and be one, so there's no reason for me to post this other than for the sake of expressing my actual beliefs on the matter. The reason I care, is because I like this site and if you guys keep it up Zok just might shut it down, and I particularly don't want that to happen. I would like to include that I'm aware some of you have every right to be angry, and I'm not saying you're wrong in feeling that way. I like the majority of the posters that I'm addressing to be honest, but I don't feel that all of this drama is going to get anyone anywhere, particularly anywhere positive.

Alright, I like a lot of you guys that are protesting against the owners of this site, and I've bit my tongue and stayed out of it for a long time for the most part.. but this is just fucking stupid. A lot of you are used to me joking around all of the time in these general forums, and lately I haven't been taking nearly anything seriously and have been using this site simply to learn and laugh.. But I finally feel compelled enough to state my opinion even if a lot of you that I like and get along with think I'm trying to kiss ass here.

All it is is this.

1. Zok owns a message board.

2. Zok has IRL friends, and he allowed them to be of a high status on his site. If I had a hot tub, I would let my friends come over and hang out in the hot tub.

3. When totse was going down, a lot of us common totse users were very close to never speaking to each other ever again, and let's face it. A lot of us are addicted to this site in a sense, because there's no other way to express yourself quite like it. There's a different atmosphere here in comparison to the rest of the message boards on the internet, at least in regards to the one's that I'm aware of.

4. Totse was shut down with no warning, aside from about 24 hours in which period of time zok took charge and got everything set up here for the migration. If it weren't for him, none of us would be here. You can insert a lame joke like "wouldn't THAT be a shame but the fact is, we're all here. We like being here or we wouldn't be here. It's so simple to understand that that I'm sure anyone born before 2005 could figure it out, but some of you can't. (Not all of the zok protestors, but some) It's almost like understanding that is TOO simple, so we all think it must not be true for some reason.

5. Wires is zok's friend in real life. She had a miscarriage, and although it may not have been the best idea to mention it on a site like this while being a respected figure here for a small era, she obviously gets fairly upset (and who wouldn't) when people make a joke of it. I had a girlfriend who had a misscarriage with her ex. (Not me). She was really hurt from it and often cried about it. What kind of friend would own a site, allow his female friend onto the site and then allow a bunch of people he's never even met, that insult him sit there and make fun of something that is probably SERIOUSLY hurting his friends mentality? Why should his loyalty be to you guys?

6. Does anyone ever stop and think that if Zok really wanted to be a dick he could simply permanently ban you from the site? Why doesn't he do this? Do you know how many people would? MOST. Go on IRC and diss oneiros for example. I've never seen him get any credit for that, or anything else he's done around here (more than ANYONE) yet ANY little mistake or decision that is debatable that he makes gets flamed to shit. It's like the local news. You never hear about the people that got into a car and didn't get into an accident. Negativity sells the focus of most of society.

7. In the post MJ made about zok several times with the IRC copy pasta it was clear that zok was referring to the people on the site that piss him off. If the majority of you truly believe that he actually thinks MOST of us are flat out "stupid" then paradoxically he's probably correct.

8. I was on IRC coincidentally that day and I saw what had happened. Zok was pissed. It's not a valid excuse, but none of us can say we haven't been pissed and acted in a manner in which we normally wouldn't. Still, the only thing he did was something that's even debatably unjust was ban vizier, as well as a couple of others. They came in and made some insulting comments about the site going down, not knowing zok had already put up with a whole bunch of annoyances right before, and he snapped and banned them. Vizier's ban I believe could easily be unfair, but it was because he picked the worst time in the world to be a smartass. He didn't say anything insulting, he just said "Oh another database error eh zok?" or something like a smartass while zok was pissed. I think he should be unbanned, but then again, I don't know all of the details. He's a good poster though.

9. I like Derodentrant, -SpectraL, DaGuru, even marijuanasaurus, most of the people that hate zok.. I just don't see why they're wasting their time arguing about this when they're excellent posters that can still use every board whenever they want.. like what more do you guys want? This excludes

10. DaGuru: I think I've finally figured out what you're doing. I read what happened to you on totse, a faggot like stupid noob being friends with Acidmelt and sending you a message saying " You are banned forever, you have multiple accounts, gotta go my sister just died in a car accident see you in 6 months" and then the other mods saying "He was wrong it was a mistake the IP's don't match" and then Zok not reversing it until it was cool with Acidmelt. That would piss me the FUCK off, and I believe what you're doing here is continuing to eat zok or any mistake he makes alive with your words because he wouldn't bother helping you back then. I don't blame you, but all I can say is it may have been possible that zok might have gotten in shit if he didn't wait for acidmelt. Jeff wasn't on much, maybe he told zok and AM they HAD to do it that way or they might lose their admin status?

Speaking of the devil, I was just chatting with acidmelt earlier today about Zok and his errant behavior, and about what he did to us all on the migration. Acidmelt himself says Zok's changeover from decent dude to backstabber was pretty left field, but he says he's learned to not dwell on it and has gotten on with his life. Oh, and he has a basset hound now to keep him company.
