How do you quit something twice? According to that criteria I've quit smoking at least a dozen times It is possible for someone to be productive and do drugs. Now about the Meta part, I've never seen Meta go "hay letz all go do some drugz and be cool" . If Meta quit people wouldn't stop doing drugs they would just have less information on how to use safely.

Nevertheless, drugs are not bad. Drugs don't do bad things, people do. You can't blame a substance for destroying lives, the reason drugs destroy lives is because people can't handle their shit. If you don't have an addictive personality, and you don't use drugs to escape your problems or to make yourself feel better then you can use drugs responsibly and still live a productive and happy life. I'll use my personal experiences as an example, I've been using drugs since I was 15 and started off, like most people, by smoking weed and then proceeded to move on to other drugs. I still did well in school, or perhaps even arguably better, I was physically active, in good health and over-all had a lot of fun. Almost 8 years later, the same still holds true, I still do drugs, albeit not quite as often as before, and my private and professional lives are going great.

So, I say to anyone and everyone with an anti-drug mentality, you can convince yourself that drugs are bad, you can say and preach it all you want, but it does not make it true. Not all (or even most) drug users are irresponsible morons, and for every one kidiot you hear about, there's thousands of responsible drug users you don't hear about. If you choose to castigate people for living their lives they want to live them, then you are an ignorant piece of shit who doesn't deserve to walk upon the planet.

This is true, but consider this- You go out for a meal that cost 40 dollers. You enjoy that meal. Once you've eated that meal it is gone forever. It is like it never exsisted. So what is the point? The point is that you enjoyed it at the time. See what I mean? Same with the movies.

I don't do any drugs now, and haven't for about 3 years or so... but in college I kept quite a stash of hallucinogens, and ventured into that a couple of times a week unless I was just too exhausted to do that... and my life hasn't been the same since.

Drugs weren't a magic switch that put new thoughts into my head. The person I became was a result contemplation on myself and the world, but drugs were the catalyst. I knew that it wasn't necessary to catalyze this process forever, so once I thought I'd gained about all I could gain from the stuff, I just didn't do it anymore.
