Picked up Donkey Kong Country returns today.

Cheap too. Only $49.99. It's just like the classic SNES games, with nicer graphics. Seems like it's going to be a pretty killer game, and a must have if you have a Wii. I don't care if you prefer another videogame system, that's not what this is about.

I must comment that after beating only the first world, this game seems a bit more difficult than DKC for the SNES. I remember DKC2 being harder than the first one, and better, but this one seems harder yet since it's so early in the game.

Any of you guys played it? Is it tough as fuck in the later levels? Like?

I've seen a video review of this and it got a good rating. The silhouette level/s look amazing.

The one thing I don't like is that the lizard men enemy 'things' (I can't think of their names) aren't included in this game...instead the baddies are like masks or something? Not cool.

Also I heard that there are no underwater levels...usually I don't like underwater levels but everyone knows DKC had awesome underwater levels.

My favorite music was from DKC2 for the SNES (When compared to all of the DKC tracks only, otherwise Chrono Trigger had the best music) was in one of the ship levels. It was like, E, C, E, C, FEDE.. C FEDE.. C CDEB.. I wish this game had it. I just found out it wasn't made my Rare, so that's a dissappointment, but this game still seems pretty good.

Regardless I beat the secret world so the difficultly should be just right. And do they still have level warps and all the secret shit?

I LOVED DKC3, definitely my favorite out of the 3. Im gonna go pick up the new one, and some points so I can get dkc3 on the virtual console.

Hahaha.. did it by any chance.. stop loading at about 60 percent.. make you think it had frozen which could be bad news for your system.. then eventually finish right from there.. and then when you clicked it again it said you still need to update, and then it worked after the second update?

No it kept stopping about 50% through, and then saying error code 32002 or someshit like that. Apparently the connection kept on timing out, but when I put in DKCR it updated for me.

Great game. Gotten past the first island and really enjoying it so far. Takes me back to my SNES days.

I rented this to try it out before buying it because DKC on SNES was pretty easy for me.

Man is it difficult in some levels, I've had it for 2 days and completed 46% according to the game. Loving it though. I'll most likely end up buying this game.

I'm not sure what part of the island I'm up to, it's the one with the dinosaur bones.

I got every DK coin in DKC 2 as a 9 year old kid, I was the best at all games. No kids these days seem to be good at video games. I guarantee none of my little cousins could beat this game. I just made it to world 5 though. World 4 had levels that were harder than anything from DKC2, or each level was at least lose to the hardest levels DKC2 had to offer.

DKC1 was easy, 2 was a lot harder & better IMO.
