So every frat has secrets. Are you in a frat? If so which one?

If you care to share any secrets or exchange information that could be useful to the people of zoklet share them.

Otherwise I just want to know who's been in a frat or is in one etc..

I am in a fraternity, no this particular one is not gay and I don't need to pay for friends, but the benefits of the fraternity far outweigh the marginal cost of membership. I would not tell the secrets, I can tell you that they do not haze like many other fraternities on my college campus (Sigma Alpha Mu in particular), are a good group of guys, through parties that are out of fucking control and are well respected on campus by sororities, other frats and faculty. I don't feel comfortable naming the fraternity, perhaps I will later...

I know for a fact that another fraternity on my campus (Sigma Alpha Mu) requires pledges, during the last day of pledging, to do the "elephant walk". You have to stick your thumb up your pledge-brother's asshole and grab his cock with the same hand and the next pledge does the same to you. This is why I chose my fraternity very carefully, so I wouldn't have to do any super homo bullshit like that, which I most assuredly would not.

In case you didn't see it in my first reply, frats are incredibly childish and if you're a semi-interesting person with a couple hobbies you should have no problem meeting new people and befriending them based on qualities other than their parents income/ability to perform meaningless bullshit for the entertainment of a bunch of jackoffs who just so happen to have been born and initiated prior to yourself.

frats can be pretty awesome. Im not in one, but its def been good to have friends in them - a good source of free beer, weed connects, parties and chicks (to a lesser degree).


My friends have done some pretty hilarious shit at/in frat houses. One house had a star on the floor of their lobby and if you walked on it they got all mad - so late night, this crazy mo'fo' took a shit on it. LULZ. pure lulz. they never ever mentioned it, but me and a few others know it happened... muahah

God, I wont go into detail, but Ive had hundreds of free beers from various frats over my time at college.

One frat had a 7 ft bong and a big monitor display that showed the view from all their surveillance cameras strewn around the house. legit smoking room if ive seen one.

I had a friend who worked for the School over the summer and got to go into all the frats' secret charter rooms. needless to say, he stole lots of kewl shit and took photos of himself wearing their secret robes and holding scepters, paddles, etc

OMG - best one: this retarded kid was at a frat party wearing a Cookie Monster t-shirt. Big ol' retard. He was way drunk and swaying around in the middle of a stereotypical frat party. I was about 5 feet away looking at him cuz hew as so fucking drunk and.... he puked, standing up, everywhere, just everywhere. Then he tries to clean it up with his flipflop-clad feet... he slips and falls into his vomit. Everyone at the party starts chanting "Cookie Monster! Cookie Monster! Cookie Monster!" Fucking hilarious scene.

eh, I dont feel like explaining any of the more complicated stories - let's just keep it at: strippers, pissing on various frat 'pride' items, drunken voyages at night, experimenting with industrial deep fryers ('what does a 2 lb bag of cheese look/taste like fried?' why would people fuck with you when you party? I've had 180 person keggers in my 5 person apartment, it was wild but it worked out fine. If you're not legal to drink it might be helpful, but I am and so are you.... partying is pretty damn easy!

I'll admit I'm very active in a club at my school, but it's the skiing/snowboarding club, a group of people united by sports, not random garbage like handshakes and embarassing yourself while pledging. Our club has been an awesome way to drink for free, meet tons of people, make weed connects, party, meet girls, etc, but the only fee is a season pass to the mountain and $20 each bus ride. And the only initiation is introducing yourself and chillin in the park with randoms from the bus, trying to learn some new spins on the jump line.

I haven't really experienced frats to their fullest since they aren't nearly as prevalent in canada, but from what I can tell they sound far less satisfying than our ski club.

Also, generally they'll have info on classes you're taking, including test answers and homework answers.

I was in the process of joining a frat. I was a "pledge" and dropped out just before I got my pin. I just didnt really think people in the frat were real. They were just fake. I expect that from women, but don't need bros to be fake. Anyways it turned out to be the best decision because when I left found out how hated they are on campus...Yeah they get some chicks, but not the ones I want to be with. I might look into some for the spring, but probably won't join unless I see something really different about them. Oh what's that Kappa Sig handshake? haha

Oh and I rushed a frat didnt like it and dropped the week before I got my pledge pin. I didnt like it because everyone just seemed fake. It's a good thing though because once I dropped I found out it was the most hated frat on campus. They were all "Dbags". Anyways I didnt learn anything from them which is why im not posting it up here, but I did here some crazy shit about sorority initiation. Oh btw a lot of people in my original pledge class also dropped later on.
