where to get a cheap phone+plan? (canada)

I need one now, always had a company phone. I NEVER used those plans or whatever. And I don't know anything about cells. What I need is.

- Any working phone that can simply call/receive phone calls. (dont even want texting)
- Unlimited (or a crap load) of minutes to talk to.

I don't have any spare phones laying around, would have to buy one somewhere. And where should I get the plan at? the pay as you go is horrible from what I remember, since I'll use it a lot. And those things expire fast?

Koodo ... I got my phone ( LG Banter ) it's no contract and the lowest deal they have is $15 a month for I think 50 mins ? , but they have other cool deals that will fit however you use you're phone ... How it works is you pay off a tab on the phone so say the actual phone itself costs $180, each month you get your bill for $15 and $2 of that is to pay off the phone , You can cancel with them anytime you want but you have to pay off the rest of the tab and you get too keep the phone .

It's better than pumping 20 dollar phone cards into the cell every two weeks and they have cheaper phones .

thanks this is great. I was worried would be spending like $50 for a damn phone and $30 for a per month thing.

No problem !

I just looked at last months bill and where they get you is for the silly little things that most people like which is Caller ID , if you want that it's an extra $6 and unlimited text messaging is $5 ( You said you don't want texting anyways ) and a paper bill charge which is $2 ( if you switch to paperless it would get knocked off im just stupid lol )

Oh and stupid HST also

But really I have all that extra crap and my bill is $32.27 not bad at all .

Mobilicity or Wind have awesome unlimited plans.

Shitty phone selection though.

Although...cheap plan + canada? LOLOL We've got the worst cell plans in the world.
