It's easy for the simple to look only at race (it takes no intelligence at all to simply write off certain people because they look different). What's a lot more difficult and complex is to look at the truth, to look at what really matters: culture.

This is kind of my point. It is ingrained in african american culture that they are down trodden, that if they play the race card, people will sympathize. It is not part of the rest of our cultures, probably because no one will sympathize. People aren't willing to believe that racism against whites is actually a problem.

I think that white people have more problems with class/national divides than they do racism.

That's an important point, I think, agreed. An even more important point is that I think black people (who tend to vote as a monolithic, one-minded block) need to realize that this condescending, opportunistic, manipulative tactic is being used on them by mainly white liberals (most of whom I'll give the benefit of the doubt to and say that they feel they're doing right, while not realizing that what they're actually engaging in is the soft bigotry of low expectations).
IMO it's all about power, politics, and culture, much messier and more complex things to consider than simple race and genetic makeup.
