I personally see no point for gauges and think they look stupid on most people. My friends have them and they don't all look terribly bad but something I'd never do. Although the hollow screw top gauges make great hiding places for pills or a small amount of bud.

The tattoo I'm waiting to get is going to keep me symmetrical, and I had(getting back soon hopefully) small gauges, but they aren't empty ones, they are just studs a bit smaller than the diameter of a chopstick and some have a design in front. So I disagree with them being gay. I do agree ,however, that the empty ones,huge or not, make you look like a huge douchebag.

Lol no, just a very simple tattoo (+|-), maybe with some design or whatever on both sides I haven't decided, right between my shoulder blades. I've never seen it with sharpie or whatever actually on the spot so I don't know if it looks how I would like or not.

I am going to have to disagree with what you are saying. You are saying that only "scene" kids or kids who like the "scene" style only like gauges. That is completely incorrect and judgmental. You are being completely close minded and immature about this situation. You are only looking at what you want to see. I agree that huge gauges aren't very attractive but I really admire the people that aren't afraid of what other people think and are brave enough to express themselves knowing arrogant people like you are going to rudely comment on their style. Not to mention you dont even have all the facts about gauges. You dont need surgery to fix gauges if you don't stretch them that big. So instead of being completely arrogant and only thinking your way is the only way open your eyes and see that not everyone thinks like you and in your opinion you don't like them but in someone else's opinion that could be the most attractive thing they've ever seen.

I have "gauges" but here we call them stretchers or plugs or just boucles d'oreille. Mine aren't very big, size 4, but I really like them. I don't think I will be going any bigger, but you never know.

I think they are fun and cool, but im not a big fan of the huge huge ones. I see kids here who have them so big you can push your fist through, and that seems excessive and kinda ugly. But to each his own its their body they can do what they want with it

i persoanlly used to weare size 1 gauges for years...

but i took them out and my ears are really loopy and saggy and stuff...

it kinda sucks because i hope that i dont have sagging skin for the rest of my life, not just with my ears but really also around my stomach and arms...

but i think gauges are always a bad idea especialy when you are looking for a job
