Hey, I've got a bit of a random question for you guys. Do any of you play Empire TW as well? I just downloaded the Stainless Steel mod for Medieval II, and I've been blown away by it. In particular, by the new and improved way gunpowder units fight now. Seeing them fight inspired me to try and get my pc to run Empire.

I've had Empire for a while, but my pc is shit, and can hardly run it. Gonna be getting a new graphics card, though, and gonna try my hand at pc overclocking too. I'd appreciate it if you guys that can run Empire well would post your system specs on here, I want to get an idea of what'd be a decent for Empire.

I was able to get Empire:TW to run on an Athlon II @ 2.8Ghz with two gigs of RAM and a discount Radeon card (can't remember the model ). But it was creeping. Gameplay was fine, but loading times where awful and there where some stability issues. I would say if you can run Oblivion at max specs, you should be able to run Empire a medium OK. Sorry if that's not real specific, I don't have that computer anymore .

Here are the min specs, but I would say those are the rock bottom minimum.

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 @ 2.6 GHz / AMD Athlon XP 2600+
Memory: 1 Gb
Hard Drive: 15 Gb free
Video Memory: 256 Mb
Video Card: nVidia GeForce 7600 / ATI Radeon X1600

A bit I guess, yeah. The battleplay definitely isn't as fun as in Rome or Medieval. The thing is I like history, and I've got a serious hard-on for that time period (18th century). Oh and Lanny, thanks a bunch!

Alright, I've upgraded my pc some; I've got Medieval and even Empire running smoothly and crisply. If any of you guys (Pat, Rolf... Lanny ) are up for trying to play Medieval on Hamachi, I'm down.
