Arresting Child Porn Viewers

I think its stupid to focus too much on people that download CP. Thats like trying to make a difference by arresting crack heads. The cops should stick to finding the makers of the porn I know its easier to catch the watchers but get off your ass and find the ppl making the porn.

Personally I think its a waste of time and resources and they should just get flagged, so if theres a crime on a child on the area the cops will check the people who were flagged that live close.

Ya its sick, but no real harm is done so I wouldnt want too much tax dollars spent on arresting these guys just more resources put on the people who commit phsyical attacks on children.

What are your thoughts on this?

Nope I just know on my dealings with the police on other matters (CCW) that they just want an easy answer and an easy job. When our local cops want to get their arrest count up and make themselves look good on paper they go on an arrest spree on the downtown eastside which is a ghetto and does no good. They start arresting for jay walking, littering....... anything. Our cops are fucking lazy. The downtown eastside in vancouver is a jail factory.

uh no its still sick and warrants keeping an eye on the person so they dont attack a child. But most of the resources should be put on finding physical abusers of children and cp porn directors.

A 9 year old clearly has no idea what she wants, and CP is done out of control and bullying, not because of their own free will. I'm sure some children may have wanted to do it, but I'd place money that 100% of them had some negative influence nearby telling them "its great to do".

Plus, aren't most abductions done to do child pornography?

Though, seriously, whats so hard about someone your own age? I'd never go near a young girl... they're not even attractive at all. Women your own age is correct.

Watching child porn creates a market for it you fucking idiots. When you download child porn, the place you're downloading it from gets money from advertisements, which in turn makes its way back to the child molester, which in turn allows for more abuse.

Not to mention the people who actually pay real money for CP.

E: Technically I think some child porn is fine. If two 16 year olds want to film themselves having sex and then upload it, well, I don't really have a problem with that. A 40 year old guy and a young girl on the other hand is abuse. I don't really condone dling either one, for the same reason. It creates more demand for child porn.

Put people who download CP under survelience but thats as far as they should go just because the people aren't hurting anyone. Until they cross the line all they are doing is enacting a wierd fetish. Without those people providing CP, people would take more action. Kidnap kids, roofies, and who knows how far some nutjob would go to see kids.

Your logic is flawed, we arrest crack heads and child porn enthusiasts because we can easily and cost effectively, and to make sure we have a new all time low % on next years domestic statistics.

That's actually a good point. It costs too much to actually fix the problem so we throw the little fish in jail so we can look like we're doing something about the problem.
