As for this garbage about property rights... We don't know the full story. Don't Mondee Moarnin Qwortorback these skateboarders, now. Was that private property those skateboarders had gathered on, or was it just Communist slimebag public property? Was that a private security guard or are property owners strongly encouraged or coerced in to hiring security guards even when it is not in their best economic interests, a form of Communism? Did the individual who hired that "guard" really intend for him to chase off a bunch of kids just looking to have some fun?

I know some small business owners and none of them care if kids skateboard or just loiter around on the premises. Some of them even like it when the skateboarders hang out because they know that it causes little kids passing by with mommy and daddy to say "stop I wanna watch deeemmmm." And 9 times out of 10 whenever something like this happens the employee isn't doing their job. Note the broom and dustpan that individual was holding. He wasn't getting paid to watch after the place he was getting paid to clean up the SHIT that throw away. He's scum. 9 times out of 10 when an employee (be it a janitor or a security guard or a manager) does something like this he's doing it because he likes to slack off and not do his job and mess around with little kids.

Note how many of the people in here defending the "security guard" (janitor is more like it) are unrepentant Communists or Socialists -- Cory, Crazzyass, etc. I'm sure they have the best interests of property owners at heart -- not Communist social justice where low-income trash get to tell a bunch of freedom loving kids what to do.

You need to gain some real life experiences and stop replacing that with trash talk on the internet.

Last post was more of a rant to hold my spot until I had time to write a proper post.

I've worked as both a security guard and as a janitor in my life and you deal with people like the skaters from time to time on the most part if you're good to them they're good to you but you do get the odd asshole the make it his or her lives work to make other peoples shitty lives seem all that much worse.

The skaters in the vid were flat out pussys and they only wish they could fight as well as they talk. To the guy that got assaulted in the vid he's probably been told to do that shit like most of us are as it being one of those "extra" little things you have to do and not get payed for. We've all got to eat so sometimes you gotta suck it up and take the bad with the good.

Mind you, you do get the odd share of assholes security guards but from what I seen the guy was being more than fair in the vid but he should have called the cops instead of trying to do the polite thing and ask them to leave.

Other than that I have no problem with skaters and most of my friends are but the difference between the guys in the vid and my buds is class, talent, and respect.

Doesn't actually make sense, because males can't strike other shit-talking males.

Of course, there is the sexist inconsistency in our culture that a man who attacks a man is more acceptable than a man who attacks a women. Some people liken that to relative ability to resist (which a case can be made for, even if I'd reject it), but many treat it as an absolute. It seems to me, that whatever your views on justified violence (which are subjective, neither view is objectively wrong), they should at least be consistent.

By the way p6867, it's strange you should support that post. I saw you make a post earlier stating women shouldn't be allowed to perform combat roles in the military, yet this post indicates you take both a liberal view on violent actions AND an pro-equality view on women's place compared to men.

I suspect there's a sort of culturally acquired, non-intellectually grounded brand of conservatism at the root of all these inconsistencies. Am I wrong?

I was being sarcastic. Not only do i disagree with the content of his posts, but he worded it very poorly without realizing any of the ideas other posters were including such as liability.
I think the whole internet woman beater demographic is one of the lamest things around.
