Mmm you missed the point a bit. My use of the words 'court case' were not meant to be taken literally.

If you could find a relationship whereby the woman was objectively happy with being beaten, then they can do what the hell they want. However, just because women do return to abusive partners, it doesn't mean that women (as a whole) objectively enjoy being abused.

It's never the abuse, it's the adrenalin rush and fear they get from abuse, followed by a strong sense of love when the dude's extremely apologetic.....it was a mistake baby you mean the world to me, it'l never happen again.

Women are emotional as shit, and when their fucked in the head and have massive esteem issues they believe the apologies and get right back into being treated like shit. Emotions are addictive, maybe my theory is fucked but I feel that they're like a drug addiction, once you get used to the high, even knowing that it's not good for you, you continue to do it...people who are constantly depressed, their mind got accustomed to that emotion, making it hard to snap out of it because as much as they hate it, they need to feel that way, they make themselves more depressed unknowingly.

Same goes for the girls who take the physical and/or emotional abuse...if they're strong enough, they'll get out the moment shit hits the fan, but if they're weak enough and their abusive partner knows how to get to them, then they're fucked.
