why choose to shoplift?

Long time lurker first time poster . Can somebody explain to me why there are so many shoplifters on here ? The return to risk ratio doesn't seem to be worth it. One sloppy job and you can never get a job again!. Shoplifters have to sell their stolen goods at a lost = less profit . . In America carding is popular because the return to risk ratio is more favorable toward the carder . Carding is very high profits and if caught only 5 years in jail if first time offender . What is the reason so many here is shoplifters, but no carders?

Because it's easy if you know what you're doing. Personally, I don't shoplift to sell the goods, I shoplift so I don't have to pay for the goods. Also if you get caught, it's possible to simply talk your way out of it and not even have to deal with the police - worst case scenario, you just get banned from that store. It's highly unlikely you'll even enter a jail cell if caught shoplifting, maybe just a fine, a few months of community service and a warning. I'm not saying I haven't been caught before, but all that's done is make me more cautious and better at doing it.

you make good point . but how to survive with no money and only shoplift cannot pay rent and food bills ? What if lose job because caught shoplifting and cannot get new job because criminal record of shoplifting ? at least with carding lose job can continue to card for money and if criminal record during that time maybe already have some money save from carding or they can continue to card for a living, but i don't see shoplifting as a way to survive or make money .

OP, not everyone lifts to make money. Some lift as a political statement, some lift on a whim, some lift because they're hungry and have no money. And what do you mean "sell at a loss"? A substantial discount from retail, yes, but remember that the thief paid nothing for the item, so it's all profit. Carding requires technical knowledge and skills that not everyone has the patience for. It's not easy work.

Also, shoplifting is often a misdemeanor offense, so it's not as serious as carding, which is a felony.

It's because I said carding is above his and most members' heads as well as because I called him a nigger. He's an idiot.

I'll agree with the OP, don't bother with shoplifting when there's white collar crime with a better pay off, in many cases quicker and also more secure. The same goes with drug trafficking. The real reason why shoplifting is so popular on this board and amongst criminals in general is because the vast majority of criminals have low intelligence, Tacho is just one case in point. Shoplifting doesn't require high intelligence for a pay off.

You will find that the top white collar criminals are white, Jewish or East Asian (mainly ethnic Chinese); hardly ever niggers, and when there are black white collar criminals, they're never the brains behind the operation and are just collaborators.

Since King of the World is determined to make an ass out of himself, and can't understand a simple message, I'd advise you all to ignore him and to not respond to the....less enlightened parts of his post.

Shoplifting is done because it's relatively easy. Also, most carding forums are not public. This isn't a carding forum, hence the apparent lack of carders. The main BI demographic is teenagers who are pretty turned off to the prospect of catching a federal case.
