I've had mine for almost 10 years now. It's a black one with a couple silver controllers. It still works fine. I enjoy cracking out certain games from time to time.

Gamecube is a pretty solid system. Nothing to crazy or fancy, but you can get your moneys worth.

That's a good point. I don't think my video game collection for any given system has ever exceeded more than ten games. Maybe that's why I like the cube so much. The few solid titles it had I just stuck with.

What was that game were you could assemble a car based on chassis weight spec and engine type/size/location, suspension and body mods like a real custom layout. Oh and mebbe those games tokyo racer or whatever, the strictly highway ones with modification and long winded rises to the top, but satisfying to play... Ah, so accurate IME.

I have a Wii. At first I regretted it, but now I am happy with it because I'll have it for a long time. I have the entire Wii and Gamecube gallery to choose from, and games will be dirt cheap. If I want to play new games, they'll be on my PC.

Gamecube was nice, Pikmin was such a beautiful game for its time, not to mention other good games like SSBM and Super Mario Sunshine.

EDIT: OH and Harvest Moon: It's A Wonderful Life is just an absolutely beautiful game, the emotion within it makes up for the terribly translated dialogue.

Are you thinking of the Sega Dreamcast? Tokyo Xtreme Racer and a sequel came out on the dreamcast, I remember that one. Quite difficult due to sloppy controls, but a good concept nontheless. There was also Sega GT, which has a "Carrozzeria" mode which allowed you to build a car from the ground up in the manner you describe. Shame the physics and controls in that game were completely impossible to enjoy. Lots of other good racers on the DC however.

Most retarded argument in the thread: The GC controller's design was absolutely brilliant. The diamond button layout is archaic. The only real issue with the GC controller was it's C-stick was stubby.

You can refer back to my topic about why the Wii is objectively better than the PS3 and Xbox 360. To summarize, the PS3 and 360 are for poor people trying to feel hardcore. I own a PS3, 360, Wii and a PC; the PS3 and 360 are completely pointless outside of the occasional exclusive, because PC rapes them in every way and the Wii is the only one in it's own league.
