Default eBay Buyer vs. Seller protection

I am wondering what ebay would do if a buyer claimed the phone he or she bought was stolen? I've heard ebay usually sides with the seller. What if the seller has already withdrawn the money from the paypal account and closed the account?

You heard wrong, they always side with the buyer now. They have done since 07 when double claim scams were on the rise and actually worked. The site I was an admin of used to have a forum specific to giving each other feedback trade and bidding on each others items.

The account is never truly gone once it's been closed. You're better off doing a cashback scam and saying they mailed you a brick.

What would usually happen if the buyer cancels the charge on their credit card instead of contacting paypal or ebay?
