If you kill someone, do you capture their soul?
Like when you kill someone their soul is basically your prize for besting them in combat right? I have never killed anyone but I'm guessing this is what happens.
Has anyone here killed anyone or know someone who has killed someone and now feels different or more powerful?

Yes, absolutely, but you need an empty soul stone to trap the soul so that it doesn't just escape into the air.

If you consume their brain, heart and then courage and after a few days the anus. It will be so and it must be in that order.

That can't be accurate.

Re: If you kill someone, do you capture their soul?
I am deadly serious. Do you think you can act as a vessel for multiple souls? No. The mind and body should only be inhabited by a single soul at one time, many problems can arise if souls try and exist inside the one medium; multiple personality disorder, extreme depersonalisation and realisation, psychosis and a host of other 'mental illnesses'.
Very few people are aware or care about this when they kill thus they end up in a deranged suffering. Honestly, how many people have you heard about that kill other people and are stable and sane afterwards? The minuscule portion that do ensure they have an empty soul stone so that they can trap the soul and negate the chance that a soul may try and fight their soul for control of the mind and body.

Isn't this why shrunken heads were made? To keep the soul in by sewing the eyes and mouth shut.

Re: If you kill someone, do you capture their soul?
No, you must use a small jar, or a bag, and capture his final breath in it. Not all of it, you must allow his soul to continue to the after life. But you will gain a part of his power in the jar. Then you must wear it in a small jar next to 5 peacock feathers tied to a string with 3 white dove tail feathers. Then, you will gain the power of him and be protected from evil curses.
Enjoy your soul-capturing experience.

Re: If you kill someone, do you capture their soul?
I'm not gonna lie, for a few years after I started killing people professionally I felt like an all powerful bringer of doom. I think the effect is psychological though. Killing people, actually having human life wiped out of existence through your actions is a profoundly moving experience. For some it's an act of sadness, for others celebration. Holding the power of life and death in your hands teaches a man a lot about himself, but I doubt I absorbed their souls. My life would probably be way easier that way.
also, this is kinda the plot to The One

Re: If you kill someone, do you capture their soul?
I think I can recall a belief, though I can't remember what people it was attributed to, that warriors you killed in battle would be your servants in the afterlife. There are a few other beliefs about magically controlling souls/spirits/shades, but killing was not strictly required; a few cultures also had some beliefs about consuming "life-force" (notably the Aztecs; possibly also the Maori?).
On the whole, though, it seems like this is a modern invention.

The unworthy slain would serve those who killed them in Valhalla and Folkvangar in kind of made up norse myth.

Re: If you kill someone, do you capture their soul?
In Voudou they have Lwa, which are like the energy forces of the dead. It's more ancestrally linked, but if they do it that way I don't see a reason you couldn't bind a soul to you after killing it's physical incarnation, or at least gain strength from feeding on souls. Depends how you want to do it really. Because you're killing these people, right? How happy are they going to be to be bound to you? As soon as your guard is down they'll probably get their revenge, unless you're a real gentleman.
I wouldn't want their souls hanging around, so personally I would feed on what I could instead of capturing their soul.

You are guessing wrong. I suggest you play too many video games. In real life, one's soul is invulnerable, inviolate.
When the body is destroyed, the soul either reincarnates, merges with Spirit, or hangs around on this plane as a discarnate entity.
