that's probably my favorite scene. it's the most tense.
that and the scene just after the "you talkin' to me?" scene... where there's that double take of him spinning in his room.
"listen you fuckers, you screwheads - this is a man who would not take it anymore, who would not.... listen you fuckers, you screwheads..."

Think of Neuromancer, thank of 80s and early 90s cyberpunk anime. Now take the first matrix. Yeah, it had most of its shit in the right place, but they've fucked a lot of it up as well. I'll post a thread on why the matrix ruined a perfect cyberpunk story with its hollywood gayness and semi-religious faggotry.

They should have made a prequel movie, then the normal matrix, then the ending. The last two films are kind of weird and filled with stupid fillers.

They were ok. Theres only so many places that story could have gone. And I don't think there was any filler material, it all comes together if you analyze it enough. But ya the second 2 were not as good as the original.

You think thats what happened? The original matrix wasn't intended to be a trilogy, they only made it into one after it got famous.

Re: Top 3 movies
1. The Lion King
2. Shawshank Redemtion
3. Superbad (I wanted to go for at least one comedy and I could watch this one over and over again)
Lion King I watched growing up and it has sick music as well as a great story with awesome characters. I made the list judged on what movies I could watch over and over again. It's hard to think of you're 3 favourites without have a genre to choose from.

I'm not sure which is more lulzy to me, Manos on its own or Manos with the MST3K treatment. Easily my favorite Joel episode.

I liked El Topo and Holy Mountain, but I found myself more interested in the showy, strange parts than actually interested in the story.

No particular order.
The Godfather
The Green Mile
Leon the Professional
Those three were more than great movies IMO. They actually changed my life after seeing them. Fucking amazing.

Re: Top 3 movies
Natural Born Killers
SLC Punk
Edit: on second thought, Reservoir Dogs. (Instrument deserves an honorable mention though, as a documentary.)
Those are probably the three I watch the most, which in turn would likely be my three favorite movies.
