Someone asked me: "so what do you fringe types do for the holidays? do you teach your kids about santa and the true meaning of christmas?"

of course!

we did presents a couple days ago on yule, while i told the kids about how christians stole all their holidays from people who knew how to throw better parties. Then we barricaded the doors, turned the lights off on the palm tree, and sang XMAS carols, while listening for robot santa out on his slay. tomorrow we'll watch the feds shoot him down on the norad tracker....conflicted about who to root for, going with "lets you and him fight".

There may have also been a riff on south park, to the effect of "bags of christ gold, hidden beneath the blood soaked roots of christmas trees." I had to back that one up a bit, once it was out it sounded a little racist even to me.

Also, i made bacon wrapped turducken. Because meat is murder...yummy, yummy, murder.

- my wife says there's a special hell for people like me, but she's smiling when she says it. She also says i have to go to all the parent teacher conferences..she's not smiling when she says that one.
