Default Perks Of Being A Wall Flower

Started reading it, not a bad book. I believe it's being made into a film also which would be good to watch. The book is quite similar to The Catcher In The Rye.

I read The Perks of Being A Wall Flower a long time ago but I don't remember the main character being an asshole like the guy in Catcher In The Rye. It's a good book, old boyfriend made me read it. The Perks one, I mean.

So what other authors are you into? I also like Chuck Palahniuk and Martina Cole. I've been reading a lot of Dostoevsky, Crime And Punishment was brilliant.

Chuck Palahniuk, yeah. You need to read the short story by him called "Guts". It's from Haunted I believe. It's pretty foul and hilarious.

I don't read much anymore to be honest. You might like to check out Running with Scissors. The Giver is also a good short read.

I really dont understand the comparisons between this book and catcher in the rye. I read it back in high school and didn't enjoy it at all. Seemed like sappy emo garbage to me.

Read it, another great book. Have you seen the film? It's really funny.

Steven King's It? Yeah, I've seen the movie. I heard they're remaking it. God knows why.

It's hilarious. I wouldn't say good. Funny when it's not meant to be. It scares some people, mainly people who watched it when they were little.

He wasn't.

Perks of Being a Wall Flower is a book written for high-school girls who feel they aren't popular enough. End of story.

And the protagonist of Romeo and Juliet is a boy. WHAT'S YOUR POINT MOTHERFUCKER? A book can't be written for girls if it has a male protagonist? Naw nigga naw, that's just some downright foolish ass shit.

And I didn't read the book.

Parts of it are certainly angst-ridden, but you might enjoy it. A lot of the arts have some sort of base in angst. I'm sure there are angsty works that you enjoy.

You should probably avoid giving your opinion on the matter then. Seriously, what kind of moron offers his opinion on a book he never read?

Exactly what i was thinking, what a dumb ass. As for the book containing angst WTF??? The Catcher In The Rhye was just full of, "i'm depressed, that makes me depressed, she was depressing" and "he makes me so angry, she makes me angry, i hate them" etc etc. I'm not surprised a number 1 loser like Chapman shot John Lennon after reading that shit, he should have picked up Lady Chaterly's lover. Mind you he might have become a rapist with a mind as unstable as his.
