hey all you various niglets, a serious questioin

so i been volunteering at this pharmacy right? its been a while and the owners have started to really like me. just today one of them offered me a job essentially, contingent upon me finishing the pharm tech program and getting registered/certified. she said she would pay for me to go to an additional course but i would have to sign a commitment form and some such.

but the thing is, i am hoping to get into a hospital, where the pay is like 24 an hour, which is really good for someone like me. of course, it's not for sure that i will get a job in a hospital, whereas with this retail pharmacy, i am quasi-guaranteed a job.

the only two things i really should have asked were, 1. how much does she pay, hourly, and 2. how long of a commitment i would have to put in. I will gather all this info next time i see her, but for now i would just like to hear you guyses input. should i go for a sure thing, but with definitely lower pay (the question is how low), or don't commit to anything, and wait for something with higher pay, but with a degree of uncertainty?

also i should add that they are in dire need of a tech. so if i turn her down, they are gonna bring in someone right away, and i will lose my opportunity. so the decision has to be made like pretty soon.

What country are you in? In the US CPhT's make about $9-$10 an hour in a retail setting, And about $10-$12 an hour in a hospital pharmacy. I'd go with the guaranteed job.
