Here it is folks, what has gotten me through all those stressful semesters.
Ingredients:
1/4-1/2 lb beef
pasta, I use shells
cheese of your choice
a can of mixed vegetables, you could probably use frozen if you want
onion
parsley
breadcrumbs
minced garlic (or garlic powder)
All this stuff is pretty cheap, I usually buy a tube of beef, cook some for this meal and then freeze the rest.
start out by boiling the pasta, add a little salt to the water. While that is going, dice up some onion and throw it in the pan, add your beef and start that cooking. Add some garlic and parsley, salt and pepper to your beef/onion mix.
grate your cheese.
Once the pasta is done, your beef should be too. Strain the pasta and put it in some kind of a deep pan, strain the mixed veggies and mix them into the pasta. Put your beef in the pan too and mix it all together. Add breadcrumbs over the top of this. Then, put your grated cheese over the top of everything, sprinkle a little more bread crumbs and a bit of parsley over the top and pop it in the oven at ~350 for ~6 minutes.
ENJOY.
In this pic I actually diced up a few baby tomatoes and added it to the mix. You can take a lot of liberties with this recipe.
very simple, pretty cheap, you can usually make it with stuff lying around, and really delicious.
