Lost a bet and ended up on okcupid like a total champ. I don't even feel bad about it because of the attitude towards it here - I live in a big city, so maybe it's different when you're constantly surrounded by strangers, and meeting new people is a little less impersonal because there's so many packed in a such a small area. Also, self-confidence and knowing I do in fact have social skills is something that makes me shameless about my profile on there.
That being said, online relationships aren't my thing for many reasons - if I spent a lot of time talking to someone online I'd probably have a totally different idea of who they were in their head and be disappointed when I met them and they weren't 100% identical to my impression of them. Besides, real life is more fun. I'd rather just use it to find attractive dudes who listen to good music and not have to wonder if they want a relationship or just want to get laid or if they're taken or into guys and just say hi and meet for coffee. It's kind of like windowshopping. Which might sound terrible, but I don't care.
