selling stolen stuff on craigslist

if i have some software and i sell it with no knowledge that it is stolen, example: i bought some genuine Microsoft software off some heroine attick on the street for cheap, like windows 7 new in the box with the coa sticker on it jusst like in a sstore, and resell it to make a profit on craigslist, do stores have a means of tracking down these softwares, like a serial numbeer or is the coa sticker enough information to prove it is the same software that went missing, how about the cd key? and is the cd key useable if it is stolen? and should i use a fake email or is a prepaid phone under a name good enough?

CD Keys are usable stolen. It's not like a gift card where it has to be activated and paid for. I've been fucked over a few times buying a game from Wal-Mart and the CD key was used.

Is the serial number on the outside of the box?

When I got PhotoShop, the serial number was on the inside of the box only, and that means the store most likely doesn't have it.
