Mehh I've heard mixed things about the source article (this one I think is the original). In any case I have no doubt that someone somewhere (Ok yes probably buttfuck nowhere Africa) have tried to huff sewage to catch a buzz, but still for the law and the news to assume that this is some sort of Jenkem lab I think does nothing but promote the false idea that Jenkem is any sort of threat to Americas moral fiber.

I don't see anything in jenkem (basically sewer gas) that should get anyone any sort of "high" (short of maybe H2S poisoning).

I'm no expert on huffing shit, but I always just assumed it worked like most of inhalants in that it just blocked oxygen flow tot he brain or something like that.
