so long for now. . . .
Having modded this forum for a while and started over 90 threads, it seemed that this is the appropriate place to say so long, for now.
I go in for surgery tomorrow (having three or four frostbitten toes amputated), and have no idea when I will be recovered enough to start posting again.
According to the papers I had to sign, there is a very slight chance I will not survive the operation, but I assume that is legalistic boilerplate.
I will be totally disabled for a few days--supposed to stay flat and keep the foot elevated. Plus, I will be on some fairly heavy-duty pain meds,
I intend, however, to astonish everyone concerned with how rapidly and thoroughly I will heal. Not that I am anything special, but people all over the world--largely through my wife's facebook circle--have been praying for me, and sending me positive vibes.
Anyone here who is into prayer ,please remember me in all your orisons.
