Friends remembers Kelli O’Laughlin on what would have been her 15th birthday - but media doesn't mention the black burglar/murderer who took her life
John L. Wilson not only murdered this precious little girl, he then proceeded to text Kelli's mother daily taunting her with the details of her murder... Just try to imagine if a white man murdered a little black girl and then he proceeded to send the murder victim's mother daily texts about the murder... There would be rioting in the hood, calls for the police chief to step down, national news coverage and more... But since we have a CAREER FUCKING BLACK CRIMINAL who COLD BLOODILY MURDERED a LITTLE WHITE GIRL... The bullshit MEDIA IS QUIET! No protest marches, no rioting, no looting....NO NOTHING BUT SILENCE!
La Grange, IL —
White and purple ribbons are wrapped around trees while cups placed on a local middle school fence spell out “HMS loves KJO,” proving that although five months have passed, the community still remembers Kelli O’Laughlin, the 14-year-old girl who was murdered in her Indian Head Park home.
Today is her birthday. She would have been 15 years old.
O’Laughlin, born April 2, 1997, to John and Brenda, was brutally stabbed to death by alleged killer John L. Wilson in her Indian Head Park home on Oct. 27, 2011. Wilson’s next court date is April 23.
Mayor Richard Andrews proclaimed every April 2 hereafter to be Kelli Joy O’Laughlin Memorial Day. He said he was asking nearby schools to hold a minute of silence for O’Laughlin’s memory at 3 p.m. today.
Highlands Middle School in La Grange Highlands, where O’Laughlin went to school, had ribbons wrapped to the pillars of the school while two separate signs made out of cups read “HMS loves KJO” and “We Love KJO.”
O’Laughlin was a freshman at Lyons Township High School.
The family was onhand at March’s Indian Head Park Village Board meeting to receive a framed copy of the proclamation.
Andrews also indicated that a memorial, in the form of a tree, bench and plaque, will be planted at Sacajawea Park, near O’Laughlin’s home, at the end of June.
