i been waiting for a package for a week now and it still hasn't came.

not to mention every time i sent out 20 bucks to somebody they sent it back both times with some retarded stamp that doesnt explain why the fuck it got sent back or what the problem is, so i sent it out again and bam same fuckin thing.

i fuckin hate the mail service.

USPS is a fucking joke. I read by October they might be out of money and I hope it's true.

It's simple, you innovate and make a quality product or you die. Blockbuster and K-Mart used to think their shit didn't stick and now where are they? Nobody pays bills through the mail and EVERYONE knows that packages are better through UPS and FedEx, a private company that has to make a good product to get your business. The USPS has their big innovation of "if it fits in this box then it has a flat rate!" Who gives a fuck when it's handled by retards and takes 4 weeks to get anywhere with BARELY any way to track your package? The fucking package gets to you before the tracking is even updated after days of being shipped. I'll pay the extra 8 bucks to a private company to make sure it gets to its destination in one piece, and within the same month, thanks.

It's a government agency and just like the DMV, it's a huge pile of shit because nobody who works there or runs the thing gives a fuck because "it's part of our government, no matter how shitty we are we will always have our jobs." I prefer USPS for international mail because UPS tried to charge me $260 to send a 4lbs package to the UK.

Also, anyone that actually like UPS is a fucking moron. I worked at UPS for 3 years, and your packages, I guarantee, are not handled how you'd like them to be handled. Drivers, hub workers, fucking EVERYONE that deals with your package at UPS, treats it like absolute shit.

Um, maybe because nearly everything run by the federal [and often state] government sucks dick. But I guess you'd need to have lived in America for an extended period of time to understand.

I don't know what horror stories you're referring to, but every time I've sent/received packages through FedEx, they arrive on time and the packages can be tracked accurately. I've actually lost packages through the USPS and their tracking is rarely accurate or updated frequently enough. Sometimes it doesn't even work at all, and on the day I get my package, it still claims the package is at the point of origin.

I've always had good, smooth deliveries through UPS. Tracking is nice too. Dealing with USPS on the other hand has been a damn pain at time. All the bitches at the post office seem to stroll off to lunch at the same time, leaving the place vacant, there always seems to be a line there...

Things I've bought from Amazon that ship through UPS tend to arrive quickly, whereas the last book I bought through Amazon from a seller in SC that shipped via USPS took at least 2 solid weeks.

Can't wait to see these 200,000+ fucking dolts of their cozy gov't jobs.

Yeah I dunno, the postal service is pretty good here tbh. Sure it's a smaller country, but I never bother with upgraded postage when buying anything online. It only saves like a day going for first class postage over standard.

Oh I understand this. That's why I'm torn on the situation. I don't wish for anyone to lose their jobs, but the American postal system is completely fucked and needs an entire retooling from the top down. Sure FedEx has horror stories, there isn't one company that doesn't, but it's the fact that USPS has consistent piss poor service, delivery, tracking etc. I've had nightmares with UPS before, but they fixed it when I inquired about it and it was only once out of the ton of times I used them.

I had a package need be delivered from NJ and I live in Pennsylvania. It's literally one state over and a 2 hour drive from me. Now, USPS thought it would be cool to send my shit to the state of Washington, clear across the country, and then back to get it to me, making me wait like 15 business days on a supposed "2 day shipment." Okay, mistakes happen, people fuck up, whatever. The problem is that I actually got in touch with the people at the USPS to fix the situation and what I basically got told is "tough luck, call your local post office, we can't do shit." And it's constant shit like that which is why I feel this way. Packages delivered so goddamn late that I actually forget about them until they show up, letters postmarked forever ago sent from like an address 3 hours away, etc.

It's like Blockbuster, EVERY SINGLE PERSON I've ever met that has given Blockbuster business has a horror story about them, and possibly multiple horror stories. Same with USPS. I don't see threads on Zoklet daily saying "Why is Valve so shitty and lame?" or "Damn Wegmans Markets is a pile of shit." It's because they aren't, and the USPS is. We all know it, so now it's come time for them to do something about it or get the fuck out.

Also, my cousins are teachers, and if anyone thinks a teaching job is some cush golden ticket through life, they are fucking retarded and need to be slapped in the mouth.

we get exactly the same story here. royal fucking mail, piece of shit. i couldn't tell you how many parcels of mine they've lost. i came close to punching the postman cause i was starting to think he was stealing my mail. i been ordering a load of fishing tackle every week. one of the first things i ordered was a reel. waited and waited, nothing. two weeks later i got onto the seller and he was like no big deal, its only some cheapie thing, i'll send a replacement. two weeks later and that one hasn't arrived either. and the guy is only 3 miles from where i live too. i'm wondering if the guys not sending it but he owns a B&M store and his ebay has 52,000 sales and a 99.7% rating. so its unlikely he's gonna fuck that up over a £10 fishing reel. i'm looking through his feedback and he's got like 8/10 orders everyday giving thumbsup.

so i'm thinking this ain't right, the fucking postman or someone in the sorting office must be thieving shit. its just too much of a coincidence. and a fishing reel comes in a box very similar to a mobile phone so is possibly the sort of package someone might try and have away. i noticed tho when i was watching out for the postman that up the road he pushes the post in this red trolley thing. but he leaves it on the corner of the street and goes off to do the cresent behind my house. he was gone down there over 1/2 hour, so i'm now thinking if he's doing that everywhere then anyone could be going thru the post when he's out of sight.

so i ordered another reel off amazon this time. they sent it by courier so it was here the next day. a couple of weeks later i ordered some other bits and they arrived fairly quick. but they didn't come to me direct, the guy across the hall from me knocked on my door on a sunday(no post that day) and gave them to me. apparently the postman had knocked cause they were too big for the letterbox and didn't get a reply. instead he gave them to the garage mechanics in the shop next door. but never left a card to tell us this fact. guess what was with the packages, only one of the first reels i ordered. they'd had it sitting there for 4 fucking weeks can you believe.

anyway, with that other stuff i ordered some slug go's. they never turned up and the seller has now sent a replacement for them too. i could have a lot of free stuff with these replacements coming if only i had a decent postal service.

i worked as a mail handler for USPS during christmas season a couple years ago. if your package gets broken and they can't find out what was in it (not that they try to figure it out), they just throw it in a lost and found bin. i doubt they notify the person.

a lot of workers make little slits in envelopes to see if there's any cash then just pocket it and throw away the envelope. don't know why anyone would send cash in the mail though. also, a lot of people order legit prescriptions from legit online pharmacies and will get their prescription stolen and the "broken" package thrown in the lost and found bin.

and the fuckers made me work 11/12 hr days, 7 days a week with one or two days off a month while all the union guys got mandatory 2 days off a week, never worked more than 50 hours a week and got paid holidays off (i think paid). i know i was just a temporary "casual" but fuck usps
