Default lobotomy

antipsychotics pretty much give you a chemical lobotomy, which is why they have such harsh side effects

It at least seems like a much, much better alternative to an actual transorbital lobotomy.

Well it depends on what you're treating, doesn't it?

I'm sure there are some disorders for which anti-psychotics are the only effective treatment and for which anti-depressants would be useless.

i was on anti psychotics for about a year to treat manic psychosis then switched to antidepressants to treat depression

i wouldnt recommend taking both at the same time or either in high doses
