Pre-employment drug testing and benzos?

I have to take a standard pre-employment drug test in about 3 weeks. I don't if it will be a 5-panel or a 10-panel test. I'm not worried about the 5-panel, as I've been detoxing from weed and will be clean in time for the test. But if they give me a 10-panel test, I might be fucked as these test for benzos.



I've been taking Xanax (with no Rx) for about 6 months now. I average about 20 x 1mg tablets each month. I'm 5' 11" and 135lb, with a very high metabolism. I just stopped today, so how long will it take before the benzos leave my system?

Can't answer you but FUCK. What kind of faggot employer would reprimand/not hire someone for taking a common anti-anxiety medication? Do they test for alcohol? That's the most destructive drug in the world. Do they test for paracetamol? Most harmful drug to the liver when you average it out over the world as per hospital visits. Fuck, on a sensible dose like yours you'll probably do your job even better. Fuck drugs tests.

The problem is not that I'm taking Xanax, but that I don't have a prescription. If I were to piss and it shows up, but then I could show them an prescription it's no problem. But because I don't have one, if I piss and it shows up then I lose the job. Also, 10-panel tests are just as cheap as 5-panel tests now...so a lot more employers are using them.

When I was on probation, I had random 5-panel tests that did test for benzos. THC, coke, benzos, amphetamines and opiates.

Lol it's never been an instance where a drug testing place calls and it's not on the list. But once a while I get a call from the prison and they'll ask me what there on. One guy said he was on vicodin but that wasn't the case.

Yes, I'm slim and tall with a super high metabolism. I eat cheeseburgers, pizza and taco bell all the time and don't gain even one fucking pound. Thank you for your concern.

Getting a script is not an option unfortunately. I will be taking the drug test in 3 weeks and don't have the time or the money to get a script.

Is there anyone else that can answer the actual question I had asked? With my long term use, how long before the benzos are out of my system?

Wikipedia has the half lives of benzos, alprazolam is around 8 hours, diazepam around 48. At least that's for me, but I've got a fast metabolism so if you do too then it should be similar. Good luck

Yeeeah, I can't answer this for sure, but to the best of my knowledge THC/metabolites are the only things that REALLY stay around for a long time - at least with regard to what a drug test would show. I was under the impression that most of the other shit people take recreationally clears within a few days, maybe a week tops.
