You should take those pics down. You found a firearm then posted pics of your fingerprints. Also gave away the state you were in.... I'll edit them out but you should be more careful next time.

I just open up the picture on the computer and take a screenshot of it, there, no more GPS data/timestamps.

What model iPhone?

one of my good friends and his baby mama just got arrested for this a few nights ago. they go 2-3 times a week to different neighborhoods and randomly cycle through them. were pulled over for fitting the description (approximately 1:30 am). they were driving around in a car, dumb.

my advice is to go when it's raining or foggy and bring a trashbag in case you find a computer you can throw it in. and be ready to run. and don't bring a fucking car.

edit: wtf, it said kill whitey! which is something that i did not add lol

The only story I've ever heard about this occurred on the 4th of July not too many years back. It was in a party town during the day actually and there were thousands of kids walking around hammered. The guy that told me the story was pretty drunk and he saw that some stupid bitch had left the keys in her door (she musta been hammered along with everyone else).

So he kinda walked past the car an scoped the place out real quick. Then went back opened it up an sat there like he owned the car while checked the middle compartment and glove box, etc.

Found 2 bottles of ambien and a bottle of xanax. The car was a mess and he coulda kept looking but decided that was definitely enough as there were soo many goddamn people walking around it was hard to say if the chick who owned the car would return.

He then went home and popped a couple of these which led to him passing out. Pretty cool come up though.

That's the only time he ever had any real luck with this kinda thing apparently. He doesn't do it anymore as he decided it's kinda stupid and immature, I doubt he would have even considered it had he not been wasted.

My friend told me she has only done car shopping once, and plans to get back out there soon. There is a cluster of 13 very nice houses about 1/2 mile away from her house, and this area has almost zero crime and everyone leaves their houses and cars unlocked. Her plan is to bring a fold-up "Happy Birthday Banner" and some streamers so that if she gets caught she could be like "oh my gosh, I totally thought this was my friend's car! How embarrassing!"

well that idea is pretty shitty considering to get caught, someone saw you. so the police will definately search you. and if you've taken anything, you're boned. either way youre boned. because the number question a cop would ask is how do you not know what your friend's car looks like

Bump

Also, what's a better risk/reward ratio: a neighborhood with a lot of cars out but a ton of streetlights or a neighborhood with about 30-40% fewer cars but no streetlights at all?

Cool Car hopping

So Summer is approaching, and I had a dream that this weekend me and my stealing buddy wanna go burglarize some unlocked vehicles. Any tips? Our plans were to sneak out late at night, go to a neighborhood far from the police station/busy parts of town, and search some cars. I'm looking for tips, stories, or just something on the topic.

Not getting caught is the most important, not leaving evidence is the second most important.

Not every night is going to produce a desireable score. Some nights you will come up with barely anything. Other nights you could end up with THOUSANDS. (Not as likely) but it has happened to my friend.

Crimdellacrim is absolutely right. Back when I was into car shopping (2009-2011) I used to go out some nights and come home with $20 or a packet of cigarettes, others.. I'd come home with $2-3k in goods/cash. Best personal score in a night was 6 GPS's and 2.2k cash

Stop bitching out so hard. Either get it done, or stay home. That's my advice for you. If you are finding you are losing your nerve, start off with cars on the main road and then move on to cars in driveways.. Or better yet, hit innercity areas where the cars are all parked in any underground garage. (Work out how to break in yourself, it's fairly easy)

My friend and his friend went out 2 nights ago from about 12:30 to 4:30, first neighbourhood turned up nothing, barely any cars unlocked and then they got scared by some guy walking down the street towards them.

So they went to a new neighbourhood. This one was way better, at the end of the night they had just over $200 cash (including a $100 bill, first time my friend held one of these new bills) a GPS worth $200-$300 new, a pair of Revo sunglasses worth $250 new, another pair of toxic sunglasses worth about $30 new, a watch worth $220 new, another watch that they don't know what it is worth yet, 2 cool looking multi tools, a few lighters, a molson canadian and a partly smoked Humo Santo Honduran cigar that they enjoyed that night.

In total my friend and his friend made almost $1000 that night and it was their best night so far.

Not bad spooner;

random fact, today it crossed my mind that all it takes is $3.50 and I can get a fairly strong bottle of wine and spend 1/3 of the day feeling good. Being a happy bum who at least has the comfort of a big car to sleep in seems a lot more feasible now.

I'm a middle class kid who has lived quite comfortably so it seems like it makes no sense for me to go carshoppin but hey i dont really give a fuck its just for shits and gigs basically and i was actualy pretty drunk all the times we've gone out. its nice supplemental income though to my minimum wage job lol

My friend basically does it for shits and gigs too, he says you can make some pretty decent money in a short amount of time and you can get a great rush if you find something good!

Any ways apparently my friend and his friend are going back out again tonight so ill post tomorrow morning once he tells me how it went.

My friend just told me that last night him and his friend had a slow start again, but it got better as they moved on, they got a pair of oakley sunglasses ($160), a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses ($299), one and a half pack of Belmonts, one pack of some other kind of cigarette, a knife, a grinder, a tiny bit of weed, something that looks like a roller for weed but not like any my friend has ever seen.

My friend and his friend went out from about 12:30 - 4:30 again, in middle class neighbourhoods.

I don't get how you guys always find weed. My friend never comes up on that. Either way, it would probably just go to waste. My friend is thinking about going tonight. It's storming, so it proves to be a good night to not have to deal with people.

My friend went out the other night and found a laptop, used hirens boot disc, and sold it the next day for $600. Easiest and quickest score ever. He said it was in the third car he hit. He might go out tonight and try a different part of town.

Just got in my car, some guy stole my radio/cd player. It makes me laugh thinking about how it's broken haha.

He also took the top off my gear stick? Why?

What's other people's experience CShopping out in the country? My friend hasn't done any shopping in a long time cause of a bad experience but he told me shopping cars out in the country is so much better than you would ever expect. He said almost nobody locks their doors, close to HALF (not an exaggeration, he said) leave their keys IN the fucking cars, and people leave shitloads of change in their cupholders. A lot of "independent contractors" live in his area, which means lots of cash so that's pretty common too.
