Disappointed nobody mentioned any of Gaspar Noe's films. Irreversible is definitely up there for me and I'd say Enter The Void as well.

El Topo delivers pretty good...pretty much anything by Alejandro Jodorowsky will deliver.

Also Visions of Suffering. It's not very good in that it doesn't have much of a plot or anything else but seriously creepy ass imagery. Probably a bad idea to watch it while of psychedelic drugs unless you want to freak.

Has anyone seen "ebola syndrome" I have been trying to get this movie for a few months, it's proving to be quite difficult. (With subs)

A few other rare ones are -

"dumplings" yum yum
"grotesque"
"squirmfest" basically scat porn with maggots

Have seen irriversable, The fire extinguisher scene is pretty fucked up but the rape scene is not the worst I have seen, fuck the snobby bitch she deserves it.
The rape scene in "Megan" made me feel a lot worse. In my opinion any movie with a young girl getting raped is more disturbing than most..

Most of the movies listed are way too over-the-top to be taken seriously, therefore aren't terribly disturbing. I was more scared of ASIO kicking my door in after I downloaded A Serbian Film than I was by the movie.

The Divide, released last year.

Absolutely, Eraserhead was the only film I could compare it to for sheer novelty and for the level of utter strangeness. The gore made me think, "Why am I watching this?" over and over again, and some of the time I wasn't sure just what was happening, but what really kept me watching was how they walked. It was just too creepy to look away.

The Machine Girl--a Japanese revenge gorefest, which features a drill bra, crazed yakuza, insane mariail arts, and a cute Japanese schoolgirl with a machine gun arm--I suspect this inspired part of RRs Planet Terror.

Machine Girl was awesome, but it hardly belongs under the "disturbing/sick" description. Tokyo Gore Police would be more disturbing, but even that's just pure cheese. They're just ridiculous J-horror gore flicks. Faker than all fuck, but still great. I love the genre, and there's so so many of them that are just fantastic in my books.

If you want to pick a Japanese movie that is actually disturbing though, I'd say go with Audition. It was a slow suspense flick, with a story plausible enough to make it pretty disturbing in the end.

Thailand and Korea pump out some stellar horror flicks too. Asians love their horror.

Audition is a good one! It should be up high on the list, I will have to watch this one again its been a while.
Watched grotesque last night, it's a very strange movie but has an unexpected ending.
I think "Martyrs" is a pretty good Asian movie and everyone says "Ichie the killer" is a crazy one as well but I have not seen it yet.

Ichi the Killer is a classic for the genre I'd say. 1-Ichi isn't bad either. It's the prequel to the story. If you like Ichi, you'll probably like Neighbor Number 13 too. They're not really disturbing, just more cheesy Japanese gore/action flicks.

I'd also highly recommend I Saw The Devil, for some high quality Korean goodness...

watched 'Dead Girl' the other day. fucked up in concept, but not that disturbing in view.

I highly recommend "Red, White and Blue" to anyone looking for a fucking bad-ass instense revenge flick, as long as you can respect the slow build-up. trust me. it gets fucking awesome.

alright, I just watched "Snowtown" and I hate to say it (there are few times I have after watching a notoriously disturbing film); but I don't really see the big deal.

but don't get me wrong. it wasn't a bad film. I think the problem, most of all, is me. I was a bit drunk. but I WAS following it quite well and very closely. it was a good movie.

I am unfamiliar with the story though. could this be an Australian thing?

Yes, that's right. I was about 14 minutes into watching Slow Torture Puke Chamber, and I got a boner. Hope Likens is pretty fucking sexy, love the rape scene. Fuck yeah for violent sex.

But yeah Mr. Valentine's filmcraft is far better than it used to be in his Slaughtered Vomit Dolls days, much moar watchable (and fappable) now. Gotta get this stuff in HD next

Also, I'm currently sober, which makes it a tad weird that I'm actually watching it and not just skipping through for the lulz. Will watch the rest of the movie when drunk tonight. I wonder if this all makes me a fucking sociopath..

is it the three men and a hammer (or whatever) guys? they made a few videos. most were destroyed during a raid and the rest are in police custody, but bound to leak at some point. i couldn't even watch close to half of the original though.

Watched "Martyrs" last night. THAT shit got to me. I almost didn't want to finish it. I just can't take head trauma shit; the staple (or however the hell that shit was fastened in there) pulling scene was a bit much for me. as were much of the scenes after (mostly the ones involving THAT lady). that 20 or so minutes of silence was a bit fucked too. quite an effective movie. crazy shit.
