Hypothetical answer. The going rate for wholesale good quality (90%+), is about 15-20k. I doubt you could get that high of quality. You would need a way to measure the purity to find out exactly how much you can cut it. If you were to get a lower quality key and cut it the same way, you would have shit product. Each key is different.
As for how much weight, again, it depends on how pure the product is. Generally speaking, you could go as high as a 6:1 ratio. That would add up to about 10-14 lbs from 2.2.
These guys talking about how they "have heard" about keys at 15-17.5k are likely getting fairly low purity key's. Even then, they can cut it at least once, and profits turn into 60k.
Selling by the gram is also riskier. You have 1000 grams worth of sale, and each sale is a risk. I don't care how trustworthy you think people are, 90% of people who get hit with a charge will turn on you if it means no prison time, or less county time. That is a fact.
