They use gator tags, and not all items are tagged, mainly the jeans, my friend Kenny lifts from there all the time. It's VERY easy, slow or busy.

Re: The Clothing Lifting Thread

Just to be clear, these tags DO NOT beep, Kenny has detached about 7 of them from Northface jackets, and never had them beep. He is slightly recalling 1 beep from detaching one from a long time ago, but is not sure.

My buddy removed a similar one like that but no cable locked, but the pin lock ones. He did not have the actual detacher for it but used a powerful magnet, it came off but rang loudly.
He try to smother the noise by pressing clothes on it and he blindly put the pin back in and it stopped.

Re: The Clothing Lifting Thread
So Chloe has planned her trip, she's going to the windy city and sometime in the next 6 months. She and her boyfriend are staying downtown but she knows nothing about chitown and was wondering if their downtown stores are hard to steal from. Just the usual ones she already gets from: J. Crew, Gap, Banana, Loft, Ann Taylor, Victorias Secret, Anthro, ext. You get the point.
If you have any info on chitown she would gladly appreciate it!

It's comments like these that are really killing off Zoklet. Unless you have something useful to say, it's really not worth trying to rebuke people who are providing valid advice to others... Obviously, in this case, I was referring to hook-compatible Supertags.

Worked. Is there a trick to using it.

A little of both. My friend was selling expensive jackets on ebay for a small while. It really just depends on the clothing value. But my friend normally just returns things to get credit, Which he resells.
Someone once told my friend that gymboree clothing sells well on ebay, But I'm sure it would just look weird for a guy to go into a kids clothing store without a kid

You obviously don't have kids, a younger sibling, or a friend with a young child. It is common play for parents, friends, etc. to shop for clothes without the children present. Gifts, etc. Children can be a handful for the parents on there best days.

Well I don't have kids, but I do have friends with children. What I was attempting to say was it would probably look better say for a women in her twenties or thirties to go into a kids clothing store to steal clothing. Then a guy in his early twenties, (no wife tagging along) grabbing clothes and bagging them.

Im seriously considering purchasing from vinniepooh, but I hear he gives good reviews through multiple accounts, I'm just wondering has anyone who consistently posts here bought a hook from him? I just want to know if he's safe

Please no more discussion of 'other' places to buy hooks - vinni is the vendor who pays the advertising fees for exclusivity.

Re: The Clothing Lifting Thread
I knew a guy that would do "the swap" walk in with his oldie's on then put in box and walk out. Also would have up to 5 additional pairs in his pants and jacket.

Apparently with this guys con, he was clearing +50 pairs a month. He would take requests and go to work on the order. Multiple locations was key. Outlets were his specialty.

Re: The Clothing Lifting Thread
My friend told me she has been hitting three high end clothing boutiques. She has been making really good money reselling the clothes. Think.. bebe/guess sized stores. She gets about 3-4 items each time.
Besides those three stores, the next store is about an hour away. This is why she rotates between those three stores.
Should she stop for awhile to cool down? Do you think they will start reviewing tapes and do a police report? She rotates between stores weekly..

Re: The Clothing Lifting Thread
So my friend has recently started lifting from Sephora and realized it's pretty easy. They've opened Sephora's in JCP and I know that JC Penny prosecutes shoplifters. So my friend is wondering if you shoplift from Sephora in the JCP if they can arrest you? or has anybody tried to shoplift from the JCP Sephora's?

Not sure about your area, but here Sephora has there own individual stores in the mall. Maybe your friend would find it easier there?

No cameras in your friend's Sephora? For the ones that do have cameras, they are actively watched.

My friend never likes to leave tags in the fitting room. She always detags and then puts all the tags in her pocket. She leaves the fitting room with the clothes that she wants, then hides the tags in random places and conceals the clothes in a blind spot
|
She patted down the clothes. Well my friend usually untags a clothing item and then puts the tag on another clothing item. But was worried that the woman would pat them down again. And since it was an underwear store she didn't just want to dump the tag somewhere. She said it was a very bad experience and won't try there for a very long time.
